LAML’s traditional saw cutting and sealing operations, with innovative AGL solutions utilised

This project forms the initial part of GPA’s long-term redevelopment plan and is one of the largest investments undertaken by the Airport stakeholders.

Brief description of works completed:

This 17-week project involves multi-disciplinary activities that incorporate large-scale civils and LAML’s traditional saw cutting and sealing operations, with innovative AGL solutions utilised.

Works include pavement reconstruction to accommodate larger aircraft.

Additional works:

  • Large-scale civils project involving flexible and rigid pavements

  • Installation of new drainage and environmental containment systems

  • Pavement removal and reinforcement during reconstruction

  • AGL lighting installation and associated cabling

  • Comprehensive airfield lighting network and circuitry survey

  • Installation of large-scale earthing networks to facilitate aircraft parking

  • Leading innovation by using solar-powered taxiway lighting

  • Trialling of concrete pavement surface repair material to address ageing pavements

  • Large-scale civils project involving flexible and rigid pavements
