This project forms the initial part of GPA’s long-term redevelopment plan and is one of the largest investments undertaken by the Airport stakeholders.
Brief description of works completed:
This 17-week project involves multi-disciplinary activities that incorporate large-scale civils and LAML’s traditional saw cutting and sealing operations, with innovative AGL solutions utilised.
Works include pavement reconstruction to accommodate larger aircraft.

Installation of new drainage and environmental containment systems
Pavement removal and reinforcement during reconstruction
AGL lighting installation and associated cabling
Comprehensive airfield lighting network and circuitry survey
Installation of large-scale earthing networks to facilitate aircraft parking
Leading innovation by using solar-powered taxiway lighting
Trialling of concrete pavement surface repair material to address ageing pavements
