As part of the AOS Framework, LAML delivered the AGL refurbishment for RAF Valley’s secondary runway.

As part of the AOS Framework, LAML delivered the AGL refurbishment for RAF Valley’s secondary runway, supporting Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure.

Works included:

  • Upgrading all runway, taxiway and approach lighting to LED,

  • Installing over 700 transformers,

  • New CCR, MCS and termination panels delivering all associated M&E within the new substation.

The project also included a CL2B approach system, replacement of wing bars and IRDMs, and an MCS upgrade to support the modernised AGL infrastructure.

  • Installation of AGL 6mm Earthing - 32,500m Static Earthing Installation to ASP1 -1nr

  • Installation of new Seating Pots – 401nr

  • Replacement of 019 Approach Masts

  • Installation of new Primary Cabling – 55,000m

  • Installation of new 2core 4mm Secondary Cabling -16,000m

  • Photometric Testing 19/01

  • Runway Flight Calibration Check
